The Museum Gift Shop is open during the Museum's regular open hours.  During the summer (May thru October) it is open Wednesdays thru Sundays, from noon to four and in the winter (November thru April, excluding January) on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from noon to four.  The Museum Gift Shop is also open at all special events, private tours, and by special appointment.  

All Gift Shop items can be shipped anywhere in the United States.  Print out an order form for shipping and handling charges.

American Cookery

A reprint of the first American cookbook, printed in 1796.  As a testament to the times in post-Revolutionary War America, the book contains recipes for both Queen's Cake and Election Cake.  Recipes include carrot pudding, tongue pie and directions to dress a turtle.  As it contains few cooking times or temperatures and sketchy measurements, you will enjoy this cookbook for its humor and historical significance.  Written in the Old English style where the letter "S" looks like a lowercase "F."  Includes an introduction of historical notes and a modern glossary to help identify terms unfamiliar to the modern reader.  70 pages, 1996 $8.00

The Lustron Home: The History of a Postwar Prefabricated Housing Experiment
